What is this Apprenticeship about?

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Learning and Development is for people working in, or looking to enter roles in a learning and development environment. It has been developed by LLUK to replace the Learning and Development NVQs. This Apprenticeship is available to anyone working in accredited or non-accredited learning (where people may train and assess skills but do not assess for a qualification), This Apprenticeship is ideal if you are either looking for work in Learning and Development or if you want to further develop your skills and experience within the profession.

 What Will I Learn?

To achieve the Apprenticeship there are a number of elements you will need to complete. This is called an Apprenticeship framework and consists of two main components’: –

  • Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development,

The Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development will be carried out whilst you are working and carrying out your daily activities. Evidence will be collected by your Vocational Coach to show that your current role meets the minimum national standards within the industry. You will also be required to complete a number of workbooks and assignments relating to your current role to demonstrate the knowledge you have learned. The number of assignments will be dependent on the units you choose.
